+ - How much does it cost to register ?

Registration and participation in the event is free of charge. All expenses (food, drinks, rest rooms and snacks…) will also be covered by The Ark Foundation and Swiss Digital Health, the organisers of the event.

+ - How to get to the CRR-SUVA building in Sion ?

Direct train lines are running every 30 min to Sion from Basel, Bern, Geneva, Lausanne and Zurich. From Sion railway and bus station, the line n°2 (Gare-Suva) brings you directly in from of the Clinic (Suva bus stop).

By car, exit the motorway at Sion-est, follow the signposts « Clinique SuvaCare ».

+ - What infrastructure is there on site (IT, WLAN, network, server, API, etc.)? What do I need to bring with me ?

Wi-Fi will be available throughout the event.

You will need to bring the following with you: computer, charger, adaptor and any other technological devices you may need.

+ - Is it possible to register as a team ?

Yes, however, each person must register individually using the registration form. Then everyone can just join the challenge presented on Innoboard.

+ - Is it possible to sleep at the venue? Can I shower, shave, eat lunch etc.?

Yes, there will be two dormitories with mattresses and shower rooms available. However, you should bring a sleeping bag and a cloth with you.

All meals are provided, including Saturday morning breakfast.

+ - Where can I see the challenges to be solved, as posed by the energy specialists ?

You will find everything you need on our platform Innoboard.

+ - What are the criteria for judging prototypes and final presentations (pitches) ?

The final presentation should include:

  • the issues to be solved
  • the advances achieved in the course of 48 hours’ work
  • a demonstration of the solution being proposed
  • the project’s potential for economic development and sustainability

Projects will be judged on the following key criteria (this is a non-exhaustive list):

  • the quality of the presentation
  • the solution’s relevance and added value
  • the ways in which it is innovatory and creative
  • technical viability
  • economic and developmental potential

+ - How is the issue of intellectual property resolved in the course of the Arkathon ?

All the work carried out during the event is open source, but you can choose to do otherwise if you agree this with your team before you get started.
First and foremost, this event is a place to share and an opportunity to learn and collaborate in a new way.
